Navan Trekkers is an adult only hill-walking club set up in 2005, and despite the name we have members from all over Meath and further a-field.

Walks take place every second Sunday throughout the year and are generally in nearby areas, e.g. the Cooley Mountains in Co. Louth, the Mourne Mountains in Co. Down or the Wicklow Mountains, with occasional trips elsewhere.

There are usually two categories of Sunday walk, an 'easier' and a 'harder'. The easier walks are classified C, (sometimes tending towards B) and the harder walks are classified B (sometimes tending towards A).

We also have Wednesday evening walks during the summer months which are closer to home and usually lower level walks of about 2 ¼ hours duration.

Since 2015 the club has organised one Sunday ramble per month (a shorter walk similar to the Wednesday evening summer walks) which may suit beginners who find the C walks too much or have limited time to spare on a Sunday.
